" Took the foam filter off my z400 and added one of these to it. Acceleration and reving were nice and smooth. My old filter used to bog down at high RPM's because it wasn't getting enough air which is a problem when running hot up a steep incline in second gear. What your looking at would be an OEM replacement filter going in the stock airbox, if your looking to remove the airbox you would go with a universal K&N filter that would clamp to the back of you carb.. we would need to know what ATV you have, the size of the carb. were the filter will be clamping. K&N has a lot of universal type filters.

All a motor does is aspirate and combust, anything you can do it increase airflow (aspiration) or combustion will increase airflow. Imagine breathing through a straw while jogging then breathing through a bigger straw. The more airflow the more power. Keep in mind jetting and EFI specs sometimes need to be adjusted in accordance with increased airflow.

This K&N airfilter is a direct OEM replacement filter. You will not be able to mount directly to the carbs, you must have the airbox.
