Plastic...
" Needed a new throttle tube quick so i bought this and motosport got to me just in time! It didnt last very long couple of months tops but it is plastic so what do you expect! Would definitely recommend to someone needing a new tube and not wanting to pay 50 for an aluminum one! "

Good fit
" Good fit. No mods needed. Your basic OEM replacement. Removable end cap for bar end was a little loose and had me concerned initially but have had no problems with it. Won't go anywhere once the grip is in place. "

average but cheap!
" Works good and is very cheap. It fits ok, there is something in the throttle tube that makes it stick out about 1/4 to 1/2 inch farther then stock, but i guess you could offset your bars to fix that. oh ya and dont wreck or you will be buying another one. "

MP Throttle tube
" This is a good throttle tube. It isn't the same quality as an aluminum tube, but it isn't intended to be. It works well, and is a quick easy replacement. I have them on my kids bikes. They crash a lot and the tubes hold up well. "

Bad Design
" The throttle tube has a large hole in the end of it that allows grip glue to go through the end and glue itself to the bars... a piece of tape or something stuck over the hole will prevent the problem, but it would have been just as easy for them to design it without the hole. "

not bad
" I bought this product because I was replacing grips on handlebars that previously had handguards that required cutting the end off the tube. If you are on a tight budget and dont race, then this would be ok based on the price. otherwise I would buy a stock one for a few bucks more because this thing is pretty flimsy. I dont have any confidence that it will survive a hard fall. the plastic is very thin and feels brittle, unlike the stock yamaha part which seems to be a better material. if you really want a smooth throttle , buy an aluminum throttle tube with a built in bearing. those things last forever "

Does it have end caps that come off?
Asked by hondaracer33
The end cap on this tube is removable. They lightly glue them in, so with a little pop of a screw driver it's out.
Answered by james718
no its a hollow tube.
Answered by dirt
It has and end cap and i guess you can take it off if you want. Its glued on.

will this fix my throttle "Snap"
Asked by CR250RRider, ky
It could be the tube, the throttle cable, carb slide, or even the throttle tube housing. It's not safe to ride with a broken throttle, you're risking injury or even blowing your bike up. I'd suggest taking a look at all 4 components of the throttle and replace what's worn.
Answered by james718, USA
If the throttle doesn't return to its regular position then you have to lube your throttle cable or clean the throttle tube and where it sits on the bars. If thats not it then its probably something in your carburator.
Answered by Justin177, Big Island, HI
if your throttle tube is cracked that could definitely be causing that. same thing happened to me
Answered by crawl4l, roseville, CA
The throttle tube is definitely the problem.
